Physiotherapy Iburg offers the opportunity to treat you at home. This could include treatment after orthopedic surgery, for example a “new” hip or knee. It is also possible that we provide 'at home' treatment after a stay in a hospital or nursing home. For treatment 'at home', a referral letter from your GP or specialist is required.

Good start with physiotherapy at home

Due to distance and/or travel time, physiotherapy at home is unfortunately not always possible. Please inquire via it online form to the possibilities.

Treatment by the physiotherapist at home is possible if you are physically unable to come to the practice, such as after a 'new' hip or knee. The treatment is aimed at reducing complaints and optimizing independent functioning, to make continuation of therapy in practice possible again. This is because the treatment options in practice are often more extensive than in most home situations and that can only benefit your recovery. That is why we prefer that you ultimately receive treatment at our practice.

For which complaints can I be treated at home?

There are several reasons to have the physiotherapist come to your home, including:

After operations on, for example, hip, knee or shoulder
Acute back problems or after back surgery
Serious heart problems
After a stroke (cva)
Multiple sclerosis
Dementia (increased) fall risk

Please note that in some cases a referral letter from your GP or specialist is required for 'at home treatments'. During an extensive intake interview, which can also take place at home, we assess your physical condition and the options for visiting the practice or not. If you have any doubts, you can always contact us to discuss whether home therapy is possible in your situation.
