Physiotherapy Iburg has stood for quality since 1993. Quality in treatment, professionalism and communication. This is how we help our clients to quickly and effectively relieve their complaints.
Physiotherapy Iburg treats results-oriented and uses unique treatment methods. To resolve the complaints, our shoulder specialists use a hands-on approach. In addition, it is possible to practice directly in our practice room. We work with the latest techniques and insights and you will immediately experience positive results from the treatment. If necessary, we will give you specific exercises at home to promote recovery. These exercises are also in an online database, so you can easily practice them at home.
The shoulder joint is a complex joint in which several factors often play a role when complaints arise. The shoulder moves in a so-called 'chain' in which the collarbone, scapula, cervical vertebrae and ribs also play a role during movement. Most often, shoulder pain is felt at night and with raising the arm. There may also be radiation to the neck or upper arm and there may be tingling in the arm or hand. Shoulder complaints (and neck and shoulder complaints) can develop suddenly or gradually and can be experienced as a dull, aching or even shooting pain.
A fall or unexpected movement can result in (neck) shoulder pain, but long-term overload, incorrect posture, working with the arms above shoulder height or making repetitive movements with the shoulder for a long time can also lead to complaints. Neck and shoulder complaints can also arise when there is tension or stress, for example at home or work-related. The neck and shoulder region often feels stiff/tense and painful.
Functional disorders may occur (e.g. increased muscle tension, muscle shortening or movement restrictions) without a clear diagnosis being possible. Because shoulder complaints are complex in nature, it is important to break down which joints or structures are involved in order to find out where the complaints come from. When this is clear, a targeted treatment plan is set up.
